Weda Mauve

Born and raised in Surabaya, Weda Mauve best described as a musician who doesn’t stick to genres and is “too mature for my age”.

Since first learning to write songs, the 16-year-old has been expressing Weda’s feelings through original music – in fact, to date, more than 100 songs have been saved in Weda’s journals.

Adhering to the principle that evolution and freedom are important for an artist, Weda Mauve released a debut album DENIAL on June 21, 2022, where the young musician experimented with alternative, punk, post-rock, and R&B music.

The DENIAL album was followed by a bonus track titled “Loving U is a Sin” in December 2022 and an epilogue album titled “Easy For You” in May 2023. Thanks to the song “Distraction”, Weda Mauve managed to get its first Anugerah Musik Indonesia (AMI Awards) nomination for the Best Music Video category. Weda Mauve is under the music label Semesta Records.
